ANKARA, TURKEY – Over the last months, Turkey’s internationall image has become worse than ever. Turkish leaders don’t understand the reason for this “really unfair treatment”, all swearing to be “in good faith”.
Our analysts at Semuchka have done some research to solve this problem, and after hours and hours of work, they found the issue: Turkey’s statements are all correct … if you swap the words around!
This theory can easily be proven, as in the following examples:
Macron needs therapy, says Erdogan.
➡ Erdogan needs therapy, says Macron.
“All that can be said of a head of state who treats millions of members of different religious communities in this way is: go for mental health examinations first,” said the Turkish president about Macron.
➡ “All that can be said of a head of state who treats millions of members of different religious communities in this way is: go for mental health examinations first,” said the French president about Erdogan.
The Turkish president accused Emmanuel Macron of being “obsessed with Erdogan day and night”. “As a result, he really needs to undergo mental exams.”

“Macron is a problem for France. With Macron, France is going through a very dangerous period. I hope that France will get rid of the Macron problem as soon as possible,” Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
➡ “Erdogan is a problem for Turkey. With Erdogan, Turkey is going through a very dangerous period. I hope that Turkey will get rid of the Erdogan problem as soon as possible”, Emmanuel Macron said.
The most surprising thing is that it’s not just about Erdogan. The problem is global!
“Greece is the one that causes the problems or supports those who cause them”, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement criticizing the statements of Greek Foreign Minister.
➡ “Turkey is the one that causes the problems or supports those who cause them”, the Greek Foreign Ministry said in a statement criticizing the statements of Turkish Foreign Minister.
“These allegations cannot cover the historical facts. Greece must not forget the atrocities it committed in Asia Minor, for which it was ordered to pay reparations, it must read history correctly and abandon panhellenism and its hostility towards the Turks.”
➡ “These allegations cannot cover the historical facts. Turkey must not forget the atrocities it committed in Asia Minor, for which it was ordered to pay reparations, it must read history correctly and abandon pannturkism and its hostility towards the Greeks.”
One possible explanation would be permanent translation errors. It could mean… the Turks are just misunderstood...
At publishing time, Semuchka reportedly discovered that other Turkish-speaking countries had the same problem, such as Azerbaijan.
